MPLS Marketing Blog
Thanks for visiting the MPLS blog. This is our spot to discuss the company, our customers, and our side projects (Drupal modules, charity, and software development).
We're Hiring
February 24, 2010 - 8:03am — MPLS MarketingThis week we're proud to have launched McBride Electric's site, which runs on the Drupal content management system. We plan to be very busy in 2010 and that means we're hiring!
MPLS is looking for a crazy talented web designer who is passionate about standards and doesn't mind sweating the details to get it right. If you think you have Photoshop chops, please send us an email through our contact form.
Goodbye, IE 6. We knew you all too well.
February 2, 2010 - 11:11am — MPLS MarketingGoogle's announcement that it will no longer support IE 6 for its Docs application caught our attention in a big way.
I've been saying for some time that IE 6 is holding back the web for its poor performance and standards compliance. Building an "IE6" version of a website almost as its own entity is downright evil — but so far, it's been a necessary evil. That may be changing in 2010.
Setup Assistant Coming Soon!
January 19, 2010 - 5:14pm — MPLS MarketingWe've had a great deal of success with our early client discovery system, which collects some information from our new clients to help us organize their project. In 2010, we're expanding that service.
Tablet, Tablet, Everywhere
January 15, 2010 - 7:26am — MPLS MarketingLet me start by making two things clear. Steve Jobs is not my long-lost uncle, and he has not given me an Apple iSlate to test for the next few weeks.
The Browser Size Question... Answered
December 18, 2009 - 12:20pm — MPLS MarketingGoogle Labs has announced a new service called Browser Size that we plan on using with every new client.
Browser Size will help us better visualize how well a given web design performs by providing us with vital data on the size of a typical visitor's screen. This information is invaluable, since it affects usability and conversion rates.
Thanks Google! This is going to be very valuable to our customers.
